ROSE HILL — Apparently, the Winfield High School football team’s schedule is still brutal.
The Vikings managed just 178 yards of total offense Friday night in a 48-7 nonleague loss at Rose Hill.
Quarterback Riley Yingling found Gabe Heger for a 4-yard touchdown pass with 5:07 left in the first half to pull the Vikings (1-6) even 7-7.
The rest was all Rose Hill.
Spencer Nolan scored on three touchdown runs and returned a punt 69 yards for another score, and quarterback Bryson Evans tossed a pair of TD passes for the Rockets (4-3).
Rose Hill piled up 449 yards of total offense, including 239 yards on the ground.
Yingling finished 7-of-14 passing for 78 yards.
