Arkansas City police have applied for an arrest warrant on an individual after a non-injury shooting incident late Saturday in the 500 block of North B Street.
The suspect's vehicle was impounded by Ark City officers on Monday and escorted to a police storage site for processing.
The name of the person was not release as of Monday afternoon. The residence and the surrounding area was designated as an active crime scene for more than an hour as authorities investigated and searched for the alleged shooter.
According to emergency communications, law enforcement were looking for a green-colored Dodge pickup with motorcycles in the back after the shooting was reported at 10:03 p.m.
Ark City EMS was requested near the scene as police searched the residence.
No injuries were reported, Fire Chief Bobby Wolfe confirmed Monday afternoon, and EMS returned to the station.
The initial report was that a vehicle pulled into the driveway at a residence and a single shot was fired. The vehicle then left the residence and headed northbound on B Street, later reported traveling westbound on West Chestnut Avenue.
City spokesman Andrew Lawson said those involved knew each other and there is not reason to believe the public is any danger in light of the incident.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
