The Winfield Public Library is host to its first virtual book discussion at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The discussion will feature Diana Evans’ book “Ordinary People.”

Visit WPL’s event calendar ( to register and find out more about Zoom, the online platform where the group will be “meeting.” An email address is needed to register. The library will email a link to attend the meeting and their starting discussion questions. Bring questions if needed.

“Ordinary People” by Evans is on the short list Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2020. The book takes place in London and revolves around the story of two couples dealing with the pressures of marriage, kids and everyday life. Evans uses London, music and America culture to add time and feeling to the story.

The Women’s Prize for Fiction One is one of the most prestigious literary awards in the world. Formerly known as the Orange Prize for Fiction and the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction, it celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in women’s writing.
