Cowley County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the report of a residential burglary around noon on Wednesday at 13525 71st Road.  

When deputies arrived they learned that three suspects ran from the scene after the homeowner came home and witnessed the burglary in progress. 

The homeowner blocked the individuals’ vehicle in his own vehicle and the suspects got out and ran from the scene.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by the Kansas Highway Patrol, Cowley County Trackers and the Winfield Police Department took three suspects into custody around 4 p.m.

Jack O. Nelson III, 26, of Augusta was arrested for burglary to a dwelling place, burglary to a non-dwelling place, aggravated assault, interference with law enforcement and theft. His bond is $21,000.

Tyler A. Jarci, 30, of Augusta was arrested for burglary to a dwelling place, burglary to a non-dwelling place, aggravated assault, interference with law enforcement and theft. His bond is $21,000.

Kelsey A. LaForge, 27, of El Dorado was arrested for burglary to a dwelling place, burglary to a non-dwelling, interference with law enforcement, theft and an out-of-county warrant. He bond is $11,150. 

All three remained in the Cowley County Jail on Thursday.

A defendant’s guilt or innocence is to be determined by a court of law.
