The Cowley County Humane Society’s 14th annual Tasting and Benefit Auction, its biggest fundraiser of the year, is set for 6:30 p.m. April 7 at Baden Square in Winfield.

This year’s theme is “Pawrabian Nights.”

Ten courses of wine will be available for tasting, along with beer, a cocktail, and water, provided by local liquor stores. A baked-potato bar with all the fixings, including smoked shredded chicken and smoked pulled pork, will be avialable, along with finger foods.

Local and out-of-state businesses, artists, organizations and citizens have donated a wide variety of items for the live and silent auctions and raffle.

All proceeds benefit the shelter.

Tickets include the wine, beer, water and food. To order, visit and check the CCHS Facebook page for updates.
