The Strother Field Fly-In and Classic Car Show is June 15.

Festivities kick off with airplane arrivals, beginning at 7:30 a.m. There will be a precision landing contest for all arrivals beginning at the 1,000-foot marker.

The Winfield Lions Club will serve biscuits and gravy with a drink for $6 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., and a pork burger lunch at 11 a.m., with baked beans, chips and a drink for $7.

The Classic Car Show is from 9 to 11 a.m., with participants arriving through the entrance at Fifth and Tupper streets. Registration will take place in the terminal building. Plaques and gift cards will be awarded for Best of Show, People’s Choice and Best of Show Motorcycle. All Classic Cars and Bikes are welcome to attend.

There will be aircraft on static display and classic cars. The Strother Field Fly-In and Classic Car Show is free to the public. It is designed to increase awareness of the important role general aviation plays in the local community.
