During the first week of October, Winfield Scouts will be hanging grocery sacks on front doors for food donations to be picked up on Saturday, Oct. 5.

All food collected will go to the Winfield Community Food Pantry at Grace United Methodist Church. The food pantry cannot provide expired food items to those in need. Any donated items past expiration have to be destroyed, so please check the dates on your items.

Scouting for Food is the Boy Scout’s annual “good turn” to help tackle the problem of hunger. Please help our local food pantry by filling your sack with sealed, unexpired, non-perishable food items (no glass containers please).  Place your donations on your front porch or where the sack can be seen from the street before 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, for pickup by the Scouts.
