Womackses to celebrate 63rd anniversary

Larry and Ruby Ellen (McDonald) Womacks, of Atlanta, will celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary May 26.

They were married at Danforth Chapel on the campus of Kansas State University in Manhattan, where they were both students.

After Larry served two years in the Army, they moved back to Atlanta, were Larry was raised, and bought a farm east of town, where they still live today. Throughout the years, Larry sold feed for Western Feeds and later Sowder Feeds. He was a lay minister at Maple City Community Church east of Arkansas City for seven years and also pastored at DeGraff Church north of El Dorado for several years and worked for El Dorado Livestock Auction as a field man. Ruby Ellen worked at Citizens Bank of Kansas, Rubbermaid and General Electric.

Their children are Todd Womacks, of Wichita, Mark (Michelle) Womacks, of Atlanta, and Kirk (Nicci) Womacks, of Pevely, Mo.

Their grandchildren are Nicole (Matt) Weimer, Kyle Womacks and Chandler Dopps, Kerstin Womacks, Micah (Alejandra) Womacks, and Cara Womacks. They have two great-grandchildren, Emma Higgins and Parker Womacks.
