The 64th annual reunion of the Akron-Grandview communities was held Oct. 7 at the Grandview United Methodist Church.

Seventeen people signed the guest book. The Doxology was sung before the meal.

Selections played on the harmonica by Gilbert Scott were “Ashokan Farewell” and “Change My Heart, Oh God.”

Karol Kenzny conducted a memorial service for those who had died since the 2017 reunion. Honored and remembered were Edith Krepps, Wanda Donley, Ronnie Thiel, Michael Vargas, Gary Curfman, Jim Hughes, Larry Hittle and Jack Finley.

Wesley Moore was thanked by all for his tireless work on the invitations mailing list and obituaries.

Plans were made for the 2019 reunion Oct. 6, same time and location.

Those from a distance were Sharon and Bob Torbert, of Grand Junction, Colo.; Wes and Margaret Moore, of Shawnee; and Sharon Moore, of Bartlesville, Okla.
