Twenty-three members and one guest, Pam Brown, attended the business meeting of Soroptimist International of Winfield on Dec. 6 at the Winfield American Legion.

Plans are under way and tickets have been distributed for the club’s annual soup supper. The event is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at Baden Square.

The community members who attended the club’s annual Thanksgiving dinner and their Bunco party helped the club to fund projects to give back to the community.

Terri Lynn nuts and chocolate items are still available and can be purchased from the downtown Union State Bank location.

Club members will ring the Salvation Army bells today.

The Soroptimist Education was given by president Ruth Parman by naming corporations partnering with Soroptimist International to support the “Live Your Dreams” programs.

Lisa Martin won the club’s Lucky Duck 50/50 drawing.

Twenty-eight members and spouses met later that evening at the chamber meeting room for their Christmas party. Hostesses included Lisa Woods, Lydia Farley, Lisa Martin and Tania Richaradson.

The next business meeting is Dec. 20, and the next board meeting is Jan. 2, both at noon at the American Legion.
