With nursing home residents being shown to be the most vulnerable and at-risk group facing the coronavirus, Cornerstone Bible Fellowship in Winfield created “Bags of Blessings” for 140 area nursing home residents and delivered them to Cumbernauld Village, Winfield Senior Living Center and Resthaven.

Each bag of blessings contained an adult coloring book with markers, a puzzle book, facial tissue, Chapstick, hand sanitizer, a Bible, a gospel tract and candy. A large bag of candy was also given to the nursing home staff to share. The bags were delivered to the facilities on June 2.

Cornerstone wanted to show the residents and staff that they were being thought of and prayed for with a spirit of thankfulness during this difficult time.

Cornerstone has also reopened their doors for public services, following social distancing protocol. Their worship service is at 10:30 a.m. Sundays and it is also live streamed on their Facebook page. Cornerstone Bible Fellowship is at 3725 E. Ninth Ave., in Winfield.
