Morris celebrating 1,080 months of life

Evelyn (Reith) Morris will celebrate her 90th birthday on Jan. 2.

Friends are invited to a cake and punch reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Cumbernauld Village. Cards can be sent to Evelyn at Cumbernauld Village, 716 N. Tweed, Winfield, KS 67156.

Evelyn Reith was born Jan. 2, 1930, on a farm in Walnut. She married William “Bill” Morris on Oct. 12, 1952. Bill worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and the early years of their marriage were spent traveling through Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. They moved to Winfield in 1969. Evelyn is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was employed as an Avon lady and worked in the school kitchen. She loves crocheting and keeping up with the latest events.

Family members celebrating with Evelyn include her son, Terry and wife Cathy Morris; daughter, Tracy Morris and husband Dave Dillbeck; grandson, Keenan Morris and wife Julie Meyer; granddaughte, Kaley Pippen and husband Kris; stepgranddaughter, Angela Dillbeck Regier and husband Jason; and great-grandsons, Porter Morris and Beckett and Alec Regier.
