Yearouts celebrating 70th anniversary

Dwain “Bud” and Peggy Yearout will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on June 30.

Bud Yearout and Peggy Crittenden were married June 30, 1950, at First Christian Church in Arkansas City. Peggy worked at several different banks during her career, and Bud owned Skelly Truck Stop in South Haven. Bud also owned a semi-truck for 50 years and hauled grain. Bud and Peggy have retired from farming, which they did for 60 years. In addition to farming, they also raised buffalo. They still live on their farm south of South Haven.

They have four children: Kenny, of Hutchinson; Keith, of Z-Bar Ranch; Kathy Fell, of Winfield; and Kim, of Wichita. They also have 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

There will not be a public reception due to COVID-19.
