Pantry receives funds

Mari Wallrabenstein, left, and Scott Schoon, right, both volunteers at Winfield Community Food Pantry, accept a check for $2,859 and 282 food items from Michael Ptaszynski, left, and James Jones, both of the Farm at Quail Valley. They raised the money and food through a disc golf tournament on the farm with 94 participants. The ribbon cutting for the disc golf course is March 14.

Michael Ptaszynski does not work for The Farm at Quail Valley, he is the president of the Walnut Valley Disc Golf Association. A huge thank you to The Farm at Quail Valley for hosting the event, but the Walnut Valley Disc Golf Association was responsible for raising the donations.
