Teachers from Sumner, Cowley and Sedgwick County attended science workshops Saturday hosted by Cowley College at the Short General Education Center in Wellington. The workshops were sponsored by Kansas Strong, a nonprofit of the Kansas Gas and Oil Producers.

Teachers received training on how to implement the science lessons and received free lessons aligned with KSDE Standards and complimentary totes with all the necessary materials.

In addition, as a show of appreciation for their time and efforts, each instructor will receive a stipend from Kansas Strong.

“It is partnerships like this that allow Cowley College to remain Tiger Strong!” Julie Rhoads, Cowley director of education said.
