Roxanna James, director of IMPACT Programs at Cowley College, recently was a representative of Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska at the third annual Executive Leadership Institute held at Yale College in New Haven, Conn.

James has sat on the MKN board as treasurer since becoming the director of Cowley’s Student Support Services TRIO program known to those on the Cowley campus as the IMPACT Program.

“She has been a great asset to our college and for our students,” Executive Director of Student Affairs Jason O’Toole said. “Roxanna is always willing to help out and never stops thinking about how to always make things better. It is nice to see her get the recognition she deserves for her professional efforts being selected to attend such a prestigious leadership conference with her colleagues across the nation.”

The curriculum included lectures about how to hold “crucial conversations.”
