The Cowley County Special Services Cooperative will host an early childhood screening from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 11 for children ages 3 to 5, at the Winfield Early Learning Center in Winfield. The screening is the first step to all district preschool programs for the 2019-20 school year.

To schedule an appointment or for further information regarding the screening, call Shanna at (620) 221-5170 or Cowley County Special Services Cooperative at (620) 221-7021.

The screening is at no cost to parents and is voluntary. Parents are advised that all special education services are designed to offer the utmost educational opportunities for each qualifying child, as well as provide assistance and support in the areas of physical, mental, emotional and social growth. State and federal laws are followed in providing each student with a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.
