Cowley College employees Kris Ripley and Chris Absher were the recipients of Medallion Awards during the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 5 conference Sunday through Tuesday in Manhattan.
The NCMPR Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges in each of NCMPR’s seven districts. The regional competition is exclusive to marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.
Representing District 5 were colleges from Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, the Canadian province of Manitoba, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands. Ripley took home seven awards and Absher garnered a bronze award for his work on the CowleyGo App.
Ripley received a gold award in the print ad category for his baseball We’re Back advertisement. He also earned three silver awards (viewbook, postcard, and college promotional brand video), to go along with three bronze awards (outdoor media, brochure, poster).
“Congratulations are in order for our successful NCMPR team bringing home the hardware once again,” Cowley College vice president of institutional advancement Dr. Kori Gregg said.
Cowley College director of marketing Abby Hollins, and Rama Peroo, director of institutional communications and public relations/SID, also attended the conference.
