Peddle movement

Bicyclist Daniel Hurd passed through Arkansas City on Friday while on his way to McCord, Okla. Hurd began his journey in March 2018 at Plymouth, Mass. He said the ride is part of the ‘One Peddle at a Time Movement,”’which works to promote suicide prevention. Hurd said having made three suicide attempts himself, the ride has become a life-changing event.

‘I speak about my story, which is really all of our stories, with different events and characters,’ he said. ‘I speak to individuals, groups and have done a couple of video speeches.’

After making his way through 48 states, he plans to end his 25,000-mile trip in Seattle.
