Another Accident on Summit

One person was transported to the hospital Friday afternoon following an accident in front of the Arkansas City Sonic Drive-In, 1510 N. Summit St.

Ark City fire/EMS and police responded around 3:15 p.m. to the injury accident. A white Kia Sedona was damaged on the right-front passenger side after a collision with a Kia sedan.

The initial radio communications advised that one person was complaining of back pain and another of arm pain. EMS checked out both patients and one was transported to William Newton Hospital in Winfield.

This is the second accident to occur on that part of Summit Street recently, the previous on Aug. 1, which was a non-injury accident.

Traffic was heavily congested while the accident was worked.
