A Winfield High School employee has been arrested and charged with having improper sexual relations with a student.
Brenden Jantzen was arrested during the weekend, according to Capt. Chad Gordon of the Winfield Police Department.
He was in court for the first time Wednesday morning.
Jantzen is a custodian and also works in the in-school suspension program. His pay is $15 an hour. He started working at the high school at the beginning of August, said Tom Fell, director of business and finance and clerk of the board of education. His last day of employment at the district will be the board’s decision.
