Madge B. (Conwell) Lanham, 81, of Arkansas City, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 22, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Arkansas City.
Cremation will take place and a memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

Madge Bernice was born on Sept. 6, 1938, in Little Blue, Mo., one of 15 children born to Maurice and Mary (Bales) Conwell. She graduated from high school in Springfield, Mo. She worked for Cessna Aircraft until 1985, then worked at Rubbermaid until her retirement in 2001. During her retirement years, she enjoyed working in the Graves Land and Property office and helping at Speedway Pizza. She could always be found in the kitchen or behind the sewing machine. She loved to read and loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Tracy and Kelly Gillam.
Her family includes: three daughters, Sandi Graves and husband, Russell, of Arkansas City, Valarie Boston, of Tulsa, Okla., and Kathryn Lispy and husband, Jon, of Lenexa; four grandkids, Ryan Rommel and Kelli Rommel, both of Arkansas City, Sarah Czech, of Missouri, and Amy Flippin, of Oklahoma; her five great-grandchildren, Adalinn, Kaitlinn and Braylinn Curtis, of Arkansas City, Easton Bazil, of Arkansas City, and Ren Flippin, of Oklahoma.
