Lonnie Ray Johnson, 35, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Arkansas City, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, at his home.
Services are at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at St. James Church of God in Christ in Arkansas City. Final resting place will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, north of Arkansas City.
Lonnie was born Dec. 25, 1983, in Arkansas City, to Lonnie Preston and Shawn Johnson.
Lonnie was a graduate of Ark City High School in 2002 and moved to Tulsa, Okla., in 2003.
He worked at several jobs, later settling at Tulsa Housing Authority for eight years.
Lonnie enjoyed watching movies, hanging out with his son, listening to music and watching his favorite teams play (Rock Chalk Jayhawks and the 49ers).
Survivors include his mother, Shawn Johnson, of Tulsa, Okla.; his father, Lonnie Preston, of Fort Worth, Texas; his son, Jaylan Johnson, of Tulsa, Okla.; his sister, Turquoise Taylor, of Norman, Okla.; his brothers, Michael Elston, of Tulsa, Okla., Donte Preston, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Zion Tillis, of Fort Worth, Texas.
