Carson Bodkins, 11, passed away on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colo., following an accident at his home.
Carson’s Kansas family will be host to a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at the Burden Cemetery. Following the celebration, the family will host a gathering at the New Salem Community Building. Friends and family of Carson and his dad Travis are invited to attend.
Carson was born Sept. 21, 2007, in Omaha, Neb., the son of Travis and Tia Bodkins. Carson attended Legacy Academy in Elizabeth, Colo., and enjoyed skateboarding and spending time with his friends and family. Carson also enjoyed visiting his Kansas family, where he spent many of his visits fishing, swimming and eating s’mores with family on the creek. Carson enjoyed corny jokes and a good laugh.
Carson was preceded in death by his father, Travis Bodkins; and paternal grandfather, Wilfred Bodkins.
Carson is survived by his mother, Tia Bodkins; stepfather, Jason Davis; brothers, Bryson Bodkins and Conner Davis; and a sister, Brooke Davis, all of Elizabeth, Colo.; maternal grandmother, Cindy Toner, of Leoti; paternal grandmother, Linda Bodkins, of Winfield; aunt and uncle, Tina and Beau Bailey; and cousins, Ethan Bailey and Audrie Bailey.
