Richard D. "Dick" Smith, 75, of Arkansas City, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at his residence.
Graveside services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at Riverview Cemetery. A visitation will be held before the service from 10 a.m. to noon at Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory.

Richard was born March 18, 1944, to Harry L. Smith Jr. and Pauline (Jump) Smith in Arkansas City. He was reared and educated in Arkansas City.
Dick was a hardworking man. He spent most of his life pouring concrete. Dick loved listening to music, playing checkers and playing cards, mostly solitaire, but most of all he cherished his family.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; a brother-in-law, Edwin Proffer; and a son-in-law, George D. Liermann.
Survivors include his children, Todd Smith of Leavenworth, Mike Smith and wife Kristie of Arkansas City, Dawn Liermann of Parkerfield, Michelle Swallow and husband Jerry, and Jeneva Muxlow and husband Jeff, all of Arkansas City; sisters, Betty Proffer, Barbara Briscoe, and Beverly Wymore and husband Robert, all of Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
