Reuel Arnold “Bud” Seaholm, 90, a 30-year resident of Rockwall, Texas, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020.
A celebration of Bud's life is at 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home of Rockwall. Donations can be made to the Jenny Lind Chapel, Augustana Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 157, Andover, IL 61233.
Reuel was born on Jan. 31, 1930 to Carl Arnold and Esther (Brodd) Seaholm in Chicago. He was a hardworking man, proud of the work he had done, but the most important part of his life was his family. Reuel was a devoted husband and father and was married for 59 years to his best friend, Elizabeth, before her passing in 2015. Reuel worked for more than 40 years with Montgomery Elevator Company, eventually becoming the vice president of Western Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Montgomery Elevator. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Seaholm; sisters, Adeleine Wiemken, Marian Zeise and June Sandberg; and his parents.
Bud is survived by his son, Tim Seaholm and wife, Jane; daughter, Kim Halloran and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Jacob Seaholm and wife, Laura, Josh Seaholm and wife, Hannah, and Rachel McKee and husband, Iain; and great-granddaughters, Maddi and Livvi Seaholm.
