Francis W. Linnebur, 94, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the Maria Court Assisted Living Center in Mulvane following a full life of selfless giving to others.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Smith Family Mortuary in Mulvane.
The funeral mass is at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Mulvane. The Rosary will precede the service at 9:30 a.m. Francis will be buried in a family plot at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 1938 E. 12th Ave., in Winfield.

Francis was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Goddard. He joined the Army in 1946 and served in Japan until 1948. He worked for Boeing 34 years, from 1952 to 1986. He purchased a farm outside Winfield in 1967 and farmed it until 2007, when he sold the farm and purchased a house in town.
After retiring, he became a Habitat for Humanity volunteer in 1993 and helped to build 23 homes in Winfield.
He and Virginia Weilert married Oct. 20, 1956. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2020, after more than 63 years of marriage.
Francis was also preceded in death by his son, Henry Francis; his parents, Henry Fred and Mary Linnebur; and siblings, Paul, Aloysius, Wilbert, Laurina, Odelia, Veronica and Pauline.
He is survived by his children, Alden (Denise), Richard (Tracy), James (Faith), Cathleen (Joe), and Thomas (Lisa); daughter-in-law, Alice (Henry); siblings, Louise and Alvin; grandchildren, Kayla (Brad), Kyle (Taylor), Sarah (Adam), Matthew, Drew (Britni), Blake (Rhiannon), Katie, Jordan, Amanda (Austin), Elliot (Meaghan), Isaac, Haylie and Shayne; and great-grandchildren, Jase, Conor, Lance, Lanie, Rosalie and Garrett.
