Ada Belle Rich, 86, of Oxford, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, at South Central Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at Oxford Cemetery. Visitation wis from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m., at Oxford Funeral Service.

Ada was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Akins, Okla., to parents Samuel and Ada (McCauley) Emberton. The family moved to Oxford when she was 10, and she attended Oxford Schools through high school. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Paul Rich, on Jan. 15, 1950 in Oxford. The family moved to California for six or seven years, where they farmed, then moved back to Oxford, and she started her nursing career in earnest. Ada worked at William Newton Hospital and later Oak Haven Nursing Home. She was a member of Oxford First Baptist Church and loved playing bingo, fishing, going camping and listening to gospel music.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; daughters, Janet and Joyce; brothers, JW, Freddie, Raymond and Samuel Jr.; and sisters, Delola Roberts and Agnes Coghill.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Keady and lifetime companion, Gary Kent, Freda Hotchkin, Gena Havner, and Stephanie Adams; eight grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
