Helen Edith Jordan, 95, formerly of Arkansas City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday Nov. 24, 2019, in San Angelo, Texas.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, in Riverview Cemetery of Arkansas City.
The casket will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service at Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory of Arkansas City.

Helen was born on Dec. 20, 1923 to John and Effie Arnold, in Berryville, Ark. She grew up in Independence. She married Milton J. Jordan in 1942 and was a Navy wife during World War II. For the majority of their life together, the couple resided in Arkansas City, raising their sons, Robert and Ronald, and numerous foster children. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the hospital and nursing homes in Ark City.
They moved in 1955 to San Angelo, Texas. While there, Helen continued her lifelong devotion to Christ through the Salvation Army and was active at the Senior Center and Christian Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; son, Ronald and his wife, Linda; parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by her son, Robert Jordan and his wife, Elizabeth; and grandchildren, Ronald Jordan Jr., Ronda Palmer and husband, Mark, Mitt Jordan, and Christy Jordan; great-grandchildren, Heather Holloway, Haley Porter, Kayson Porter, Shellie Suttles, and Jessie Jordan; and great-great-grandchildren, Talon, Owen, Layla and Natalie Suttles, and Grayson Salomon and Tripp Holloway.
