Patrick W. Shannon, 55, of Winfield, passed away Sunday evening, April 26, 2020, at Kansas Spine & Specialty Hospital.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday, May 4 at First Church of the Nazarene in Winfield. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Miles Funeral Service. The family will greet visitors during that time.

Born March 23, 1965, in Tulsa, Okla., he was the son of Paul and Dorothy (Jackson) Shannon. He was raised and received his education in the Tulsa area, graduating from Mannford High School in 1983. Following high school, he attended The University of Tulsa. He later moved to Ponca City, Okla., where he began working as a warehouse manager for Albertson’s Grocery. Patrick then started his own carpet cleaning company, which he ran until opening a pizza restaurant in Newkirk, Okla.
Patrick moved to Winfield in 1999 and began working at Rubbermaid, where he met Patricia Bruce. The couple were united in marriage on Jan. 12, 2002 in Eureka Springs, Ark. They made their home in Winfield. Patrick later worked at Conoco Refinery in Ponca City, Okla., before going to work as the warehouse manager for Premier Blending.
He was a very active member of First Church of the Nazarene in Winfield, serving as a board member and helping cook many dinners at the church, as well as working with the youth group. He enjoyed botanical gardens, cooking, photography, scuba diving and going on cruises. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Paul Shannon; and a brother, Randy Shannon.
His family includes his wife, Patricia Shannon, of Winfield; his children, Cameron Shannon, of Winfield, Trisha Shannon, of Fargo, N.D., Rebecca Bilderback and husband, Ryan, of Iola, and Chanel Stroud, of Winfield; his mother, Dorothy Shannon, of Sapulpa, Okla.; his siblings, Rick Shannon and wife, Sharon, Sandy McCarty and husband, David, and Debbie Willis and husband, Richard, all of Sand Springs, Okla.; his sister-in-law, Janet Shannon, of Tulsa, Okla.; his grandchildren, Kiara Zoglmann and Braden Stroud; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
