Dixie Lee Wade, 81, of Arkansas City, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, with her family by her side.
Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel in Arkansas City. The burial will take place shortly thereafter at Parker Cemetery.

Dixie was born to Sarah (Hughes) and Joseph Golden on Dec. 4, 1937, in Arkansas City. Dixie graduated from Cedar Vale High School in 1955 and attended Cowley County Community College. She married Loren Joe Wade Jr., on May 2, 1964, in Ark City. The couple lived in Lahoma, Okla., before relocating to Arkansas City. Dixie Lee had a very successful career at General Electric. After retirement, she worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dixie was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Dixie was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Jo Wade.
Survivors include her loving husband, Loren Joe Wade, of Ark City; two children, Valarie Rebecca Kay Wade, of Arkansas City, and Joseph David Wade, of Enid, Okla.; and one grandchild, Kain Alexander Wade, of Enid, Okla.
