She married her soulmate, Bill Nelson, on April 25,1970. He died Feb. 19, 2004.
Billie went to work at Greif Bros. in 1971 and retired in 1998. She enjoyed traveling the country and world with the Heritage C lub. Billie was an avid photographer, concert goer, and wine connoisseur. She also volunteered her time at various places. However, Billie’s greatest passion was spending time with her family and friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents and sisters; her husband, Bill Nelson; brother-in-law, Don Nelson; and son-in-law, Joe Hudson.
She is survived by daughter, Tandy Hudson, of Allen, Okla.; Dallas Bradford and wife Jenny, of Albuquerque; her three grandchildren, Nichole Lusk and husband Dale, Chelsea Bradford, and Joshua Bradford; three great-grandchildren Oliver, Nola and Emelia Lusk; as well as her sister-in-law, Cecelia Nelson. Billie also leaves her three wonderful “adopted” New Zealand girls, Joann O’Conner, Christine O'Conner and Sarah Gibson and their extended families. Her loss will also be felt by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins from all over, as well as many fantastic friends and relationships developed over the years.
Billie will be deeply missed but will remain in our hearts through her spirit and our memories.
