Larry Edward Tice, 75, of Winfield, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Services will be held at a later date. Baker Funeral Home of Wichita is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations can be made to Hackney Baptist Church or the Ladies’ Oriental Shrine.
Larry was born Feb. 29, 1944, in Canton, Ohio, to Catherine Lavy. As a young man he moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where he went to school.
He worked as a carpet installer, a mechanic, a welder at Montgomery Elevator in Strother Field, an installer of recycling equipment and a Walmart service writer. He retired from Walmart in 2015.
Larry married Suzette on June 28, 1975, in Glendale, Ariz. They were married for 44 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Gursinger; his stepfather, Dave Gursinger; and his son, Shannon Tice.
Larry is survived by his wife, Suzette Tice; two stepdaughters, Donna Turner, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Janie Smith (Andy), of Winfield; four grandchildren, Samantha Brown, of Glendale, Ariz., Chris Turner, of Ponca City, Okla., Alicia Smith and Megan Smith, both of Winfield; and five great-grandchildren.
