Shirley Ann Wood, 77, of Arkansas City, died Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Unit at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.
Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel in Arkansas City. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery of Winfield.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.

Shirley was born July 8, 1941, to Charles and Lucille (Rice) Lambert in Memphis, Tenn. She was reared and educated in Memphis and Winfield. She married Harry G. Wood on Nov. 5, 1958, in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield and Wellington before moving to Arkansas City. Shirley worked as an aide in a nursing home for several years, then as a home health aide. She had attended Trinity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry, in February 2018; brothers, Danny, James and Allan Lambert; sisters, Glenda Campbell, Virginia Moore, Carole Stone and Betty Bowlby; and a great-granddaughter, Trinity Faith Guthery.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Palmer and Debbie Wood, both of Arkansas City, Melinda Creed and husband, Dane, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Carolyn Wolfe and husband, Nathan, of Wichita; sons, Terry Wood, of Wichita, and Gerald Wood, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; brothers, David Lambert and Gerry Lambert; sisters, Karen Lambert and Jean Hinton; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
