Harold Wilson, 83, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020. After several months of declining health, Harold died peacefully with his beloved wife, Virginia, by his side.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Grenola. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. Condolences can be expressed at www.funeralmation.com.
Harold was born on March 7, 1937 in Wauneta, to father, Fay Wilson and mother, Margaret Wilson. He graduated from Grenola High School in 1956. Harold was united in marriage to Virginia Dorsey on May 19, 1956, in Grenola. Unto this union three sons were born, Michael, Steven and Todd.
After high school Harold worked at Boeing in Wichita before being hired at Binney & Smith Crayola factory in Winfield in 1960. He spent his career there until his retirement in 1994. Harold and Virginia moved from Grenola to Winfield in 1966, then moved to a farm in Cedar Vale in 1990, where he and the grandkids enjoyed many adventures. Harold and Virginia moved to Bella Vista in 2001.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy Wilson and Bill Wilson; sisters, Nellie Reeves and Wanda Wartick; and son, Todd Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of Bella Vista, Ark.; children, Mike Wilson, of Bentonville, Ark., and Steve Wilson and wife, Caroline Veatch Wilson, of Bella Vista, Ark.; grandchildren, Major Austin Wilson and wife, Amy, of Lenexa, Hollianne Klotz and husband, Jason, of Cave Springs, Ark., and Jaydon Wilson and fiancé, Tara Blagg, of Bentonville, Ark.; and great-grandchildren, Karlee and Chase Klotz, of Cave Springs, Ark.
