O’Linda Jean Watson, 64, of Arkansas City, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Cremation has been effected. A private family service will be held at a later date.

O’Linda was born July 23, 1955, to John and Mary (Mora) Murelio, in Arkansas City. She was reared and educated in Arkansas City, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1972. She attended and graduated from Cowley College with an associate’s degree in psychology and arts.
O’Linda worked as a aerospace technician for Boeing for many years until her retirement. O’Linda had a passion as an artist. She won many awards for her painting and was even published by Hallmark Cards. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
O’Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Salvador and Gilbert.
Survivors include her son, Kempty Watson and wife, Misti, of Austin, Texas; granddaughters, Darian and Kylee Watson, of Austin, Texas; brothers, Robert Murelio, of Oregon and Johnny Murelio, of Arkansas City; extended family, Larry and Geneva Woods, of Arkansas City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
