Virginia Lee Baum Taylor, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Arkansas City, and Ponca City, Okla., passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2020.
A graveside service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, north of Arkansas City, followed by a celebration of Virginia’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Kingdom Hall in Bella Vista or the American Cancer Society.
Virginia was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Arkansas City, to Jacob and Elsie Baum. Virginia grew up in Arkansas City. She and Billy Jack “Jack” Taylor married Dec. 22, 1950, and moved to Ponca City, Okla., where they raised their three children. Virginia moved to Bella Vista, Ark., with Jack in 1984. She loved tennis, golf, Crazy Canasta, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Jack Taylor; her three sisters, Amy Lois Baum, Phyllis Slaven and Glendoris “Glennie” Williams; her brother, Alden Baum; and her grandson, Zachary Taylor.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Clarke Taylor and David Scott Taylor; her daughter, Janice Leigh Sills; her brother, Gareth Baum; 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
