Roy L. Rhodd, 69, of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at his home.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Miles Funeral Service. Visitation is at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dexter Cemetery.

Born Nov. 27, 1949, in Winfield, Roy was the son of Maurice L. and Avis Arlene (Hankins) Rhodd. His family lived in Dexter until 1955, when they moved to Farlington and later Toronto, Ottawa, Canada, then to Oklahoma at Sapulpa, Mannford, Keystone, and back to Dexter. Roy graduated from Dexter High School in 1967. After high school, he attended Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, graduating with an associate’s degree in Bookkeeping. Roy worked as a bookkeeper most of his life in the agricultural industry. He had a kind heart and was a great son and brother, helping to care for his parents as they grew older. He loved dogs and animals, and enjoyed being around people. He also enjoyed working on cars and woodworking.
In addition to his parents Roy, was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jack Shelton.
His family includes his brother, Ray Rhodd (Sandy Davern), of Topeka; his sister, Alice Shelton, of Wichita; and his nephews, Brian Rhodd and his three children, Colter, Kinleigh and Kolby, of Holton; Bradley Rhodd, of Kansas City; Steven Rhodd and his son, Steven Jr., of Fayetteville, N.C.; Daniel Ehmke and wife, Maria and their daughter, Makayla, of Wichita.
