Tammy Sue Barton, 56, of Arkansas City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at her residence.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. today at the Newkirk (Okla.) City Cemetery.

Tammy was born Aug. 7, 1963, to Artie L. and Jeanette S. (Ryan) Hurst, in Winfield. She was reared and educated in Newkirk, Okla. After high school, she attended and graduated from Cowley College.
She married Harry "Eddie" Barton on March 26, 1999 in Forsyth, Mo. The couple made their home in Arkansas City. Tammy worked as a social worker at CCDS/CCL and was a family support worker for TFI Family Services in Winfield for many years. She also worked at Casey’s General Store and Dollar Tree. She loved spending time with her dogs and family, but most of all she cherished her grandchildren.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Artie Hurst Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie, of the home; sons, Jeffery Farris, of Arkansas City, and Noah Farris and wife, Tracey, of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, William "Sparky" Hurst and wife, Debbie, of Katy, Texas; a niece, Emberly Hurst, of Katy, Texas; aunt, Ethel Manygoats, of Arkansas City; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Brook and Paige.
