With the announcement the Wellington Hospital has closed, I wonder how the two state representatives who represent portions of Sumner and Cowley counties and the one state senator who represents a portion of Cowley county and Sumner county will continue to justify their past stance against medicaid expansion.

I am also curious about the feelings of those Sumner county voters who overwhelmingly voted for the three persons. Might some, if not all, have some misgivings about how they marked their ballots in the past elections. I truly hope this situation causes voters to consider the issues and the candidate’ positions on said issues, rather than whether the candidate is a democrat, republican, or independent, when they cast their ballot in 2020.
