Coaches in the Jayhawk Conference picked the Cowley College baseball team to finish first out of nine teams in the Jayhawk East.

The Tigers, who are ranked fifth nationally with a 5-0 record, were picked ahead of second-place Johnson County.

Cowley has won three straight Jayhawk East titles and qualified for the Juco World Series twice in the past three seasons.

Hutchinson was picked to finish first in the Jayhawk West.

The Tigers added a 2 p.m. home game Saturday against McCook, Neb.
