KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Southwestern College men’s soccer team picked up its fifth win in a row Sunday afternoon, defeating Avila 3-0 in KCAC action.

Senior Ivan Canales booted home a pass from sophomore Anthony Gross just 47 seconds later. The Moundbuilders attacked again two minutes after that when Gross netted his second of the day off another pass by Sitton.

The Eagles (1-8, 0-4) managed just five shots, none of which were on target and most coming from free kicks. The Builders outshot Avila 12-0.

The Builders return home at 8 p.m. today against Saint Mary.
