DOUGLASS — Douglass junior Dalton Hilyard piled up 214 rushing yards and three touchdowns Friday night, leading the Bulldogs to a 34-8 victory against Marion in nonleague football action Friday night.
The Bulldogs (2-0) led 14-0 at halftime on a 4-yard touchdown run by Hilyard and a 37-yard interception return to paydirt by Hunter Glaves.
The Warriors got on the scoreboard in the third quarter when Seth Lanning hooked up with Ian Ingels on a 20-yard TD pass.
Hilyard opened the fourth quarter with a 32-yard touchdown run, then put the game away with a 92-yard TD romp.
Wade Morgan added a 9-yard TD run to cap the scoring for the Bulldogs.
Jordan Stoffel finished 10-of-17 passing for 63 yards, with one interception for Douglass.
Lanning finished with 200 passing yards, completing 15 of 31, but he was intercepted twice.
The Douglass defense held the Warriors to just 19 rushing yards.
