ROME, Ga. — The Cowley College women’s tennis doubles teams of Alana Molnar and Takalani Molaoa, and Aletta Macheli and Kristela Vidnere, opened play Thursday at the NJCAA Small College Nationals.

Molnar and Molaoa lost a three-set match against the team of Soomin Kim and Molly Helgesson of ASA College-Miami 6-3, 3-6, 10-8.

Molnar and Molaoa were set to face the doubles team of Patricia Panta and Maria Aveiga of Seward Community College on Friday.

Macheli and Vidnere lost to the fourth-seeded team from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College 6-1, 6-1.

Macheli and Vidnere were set to play Friday against play the doubles team of Moa Lindstrom and Ellen Selander from Cerritos College (Calif.).
