The Southwestern College men’s and women’s cross country teams were host to the NAIA Mid-States Classic during Homecoming weekend. The meet was filled with skilled competition and a good measuring point for the Moundbuilders as they prepare for the upcoming KCAC Championships.
The Southwestern men finished 11th overall and third amongst the seven KCAC teams in the 8K run.
Freshman John Davila placed 39th in 26:48.47, improving his last performance. Fellow teammates Adam Hernandez and Patrick Matson followed closely behind, just missing the top 50. Tumiso Tidimane ran 27:45.54, improving his previous outing by five seconds.
The Lady Builders finished 10th overall, second out of seven KCAC squads.
