Cowley College freshman forward Natalia Lima recorded her fourth hat trick of the season Saturday, leading the Cowley College women’s soccer team to a 5-2 home victory against Kansas City.

The victory was the fifth in a row for the Lady Tigers (9-2, 7-1 Jayhawk East).

With Cowley leading 2-1, Carla Ruiz scored four minutes into the second half and Lima scored two of her three goals after halftime to help the Lady Tigers to pull away.

Manuela Oliveira scored the other goal against the Lady Blue Devils (9-3, 6-3).

The hat trick was the fourth in 11 games for Lima.

“This was a great performance by the ladies,” Cowley coach Roberto dos Santos said. “We started the second half full of energy.”

The Lady Tigers return to action at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson County.
