Cowley College’s Sumner Campus is teaming up with Wellington High School, the Greater Wichita Officials Association and the Kansas State High School Activities Association to conduct a football officiating class from 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 12-16 at the Short General Education Center in Wellington.

The cost of the one-credit, hourlong class is $120 for tuition and fees, and $7 for the book.

Guest speakers include Mark Lentz, director of football for KSHSAA; Craig Helser, football officiating coordinator KJCCC and commissioner of the Wichita City League; Kurt McAfee, football officiating coordinator of the KCAC; Bob Benoit, commissioner of the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League; John Mies, commissioner of the Central Plains League; John Kaufman, commissioner of the South Central Border League; Scott Hardin, past-president of the Greater Wichita Officials Association; and Luke Smith, Wellington High School athletic director.
