SOUTH HAVEN — Three players scored in double figures in a balanced effort by the South Haven Lady Cardinals, who pulled away for a 45-35 nonleague victory Tuesday against Attica.

The Lady Cardinals (5-2) nursed a 17-13 halftime lead and led by just one point, 30-29, heading into the fourth quarter. But South Haven outscored the Lady Bulldogs 15-6 down the stretch to snap Attica’s five-game winning streak to start the season.

Shut out in the first half, South Haven leading scorer Brittney Byers drained three second-half 3-pointers and finished with 12 points. Rachel Turek added 11 points and Alyssa Bridges chipped in 10 for the Lady Cardinals, who were 8 of 15 from the foul line.

Tamara Lozoya and Emily Lozoya scored 12 points apiece to lead the Lady Bulldogs (5-1), who were 8 of 13 from the line.
