DEXTER — The Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans have run out of Senior nights.

After defeating Central of Burden on Senior night last week in Cedar Vale, the Spartans took care of business Tuesday night with a 72-17 pasting of Flinthills in South Central Border League action at Dexter High School.

Cedar Vale/Dexter raced out to a 27-4 first-quarter lead and extended it to 50-10 at halftime.

Devin Catlin led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the floor and 5 of 6 from the foul line. Brogan Myers added 12 points on 6-of-13 shooting, Cole Criss offered 10 points, Cale Shorter chipped in nine points and three assists, Elijah Helpingstine had eight points and Cole Clark finished with seven points. Pau Buj grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

Isaac Bugner led the Mustangs (5-12, 2-4) with five points, while Hunter Lowmaster grabbed 12 rebounds.

SOUTH HAVEN — The South Haven Lady Cardinals remained one of three teams with undefeated records in the South Central Border League after defeating Udall 57-29 in league play Tuesday.

One team is sure to fall Friday when Argonia (14-3, 6-0) plays at West Elk (16-0, 6-0).

South Haven plays Friday at Flinthills, but then returns home Tuesday to face Argonia.

The Lady Cardinals (14-3, 6-0 SCBL) led 19-10 after the first quarter and 38-19 at halftime.

Senior Brittney Byers buried three baskets from 3-point range and led all scorers with 25 points for South Haven. Alyssa Bridges added nine points and Sydney Bacon chipped in seven for the Lady Cardinals, who were 13 of 18 from the foul line.

Junior Aubrey Eilers finished with 13 points and Maria Silva added seven for the Lady Eagles (6-11, 1-5), who were 3 of 7 from the line.

ARGONIA — The Argonia Lady Raiders tuned up for their showdown with West Elk with a 56-17 victory against Central of Burden in SCBL play Tuesday.

The Lady Raiders (14-3, 6-0 SCBL) play Friday at West Elk (16-0, 6-0) before taking on South Haven (14-3, 6-0) on Tuesday.

Argonia led 32-10 at halftime.

Karrlea Hessman scored 14 points and Aubreigh Haxton added 12 for Argonia.

Morgan Cook led Central (0-16, 0-6) with five points.
