Big second quarter lifts Udall girls past Oxford

Cedar Vale/Dexter junior Mandi Ford looks to drive into the paint Tuesday against Attica at the Don Braddy Memorial Tournament in Udall.

UDALL — The Udall High School girls basketball team used a big second quarter Tuesday to pull for a 41-27 victory against Oxford at the Don Braddy Memorial Tournament.

Junior Anna Otis buried both of her 3-pointers and senior Lizzy Tharp knocked down one of her four treys in the second quarter as Udall went on a 13-3 run to take a 17-9 lead at halftime.

Junior Emma Enderud finished with 13 points for the Lady Eagles (1-1), who went 7 of 18 from the foul line. Tharp scored all 12 of her points from beyond the arc while Otis finished with nine points.

Sophomore Lauren Payne tied for high-scoring honors with 13 points for the visiting Lady Wildcats (0-2), who were 6 of 14 from the line.

UDALL — The Attica Lady Bulldogs used a 17-point second quarter Tuesday to pull away for a 43-24 victory against Cedar Vale/Dexter.

The Lady Spartans (0-1) managed just six points in the first half and finished 2 of 8 from the foul line.

Junior Kyndel Randall scored 10 points and senior Kearsten Leonard added nine for Cedar Vale/Dexter.
